Impact created by the Nyas

Environment impact

The Nyas favours eco-friendly products and make special effort to promote them in all activities undertaken by them, e.g.- use of disposable bowls made of leaves at all melas, and canteens.

The educational institutes run by the Nyas not only impart environmental awareness and knowledge among its staff and students, but also act as a channel for knowledge dissemination among the public at large.

Social impact

The activities of the Nyas create employment opportunities and outlets, which contribute toward creating a vibrant socio-economic environment. Education, healthcare, and employment are the corner stones, which can change the entire social fabric of a society.

Through education and livelihood opportunities the Nyas helps alter the microscopic mindset of the population, instils self-confidence, and encourages empowerment. In the last 20 years that the Nyas has been operating, there has been a visible societal shift.

Through the Vijayant Hospital project, the Nyas hopes to impact the health of the people of Damoh District.

The melas organized by the Nyas, promote local skills and crafts, which have thus far been ignored. This effort has a huge impact on promotion and revival of traditions and thereby impact the society. Also, the Nyas’s work with women artisans and entrepreneurs creates a positive impact on the society. The Grih Udyoy, stitching and tailoring unit has also enabled employment and employability.

Economic impact

The Nyas’ educational institutions have created a pool of educated and employment ready professionals thereby contribution to the economic vibrance of the region. Also, the recently started ITI’s encourage self-employment and entrepreneurship. The educational institutions also generate employment to the tune of over 1000 employees. The Grih Udyog and Stitching units create employment opportunities, thereby contributing to the economic strength of the region. The Nyas also provides micro finance to deserving candidates in order to encourage entrepreneurship and create a favourable economic environment.

By providing an outlet for crafts people the Nyas contributes towards the economic growth of households and larger communities.
